GRADES K-5

Goal: to help children, learn, celebrate, share, and live our Catholic faith.
 A.    CLASSROOM MODEL:

Sunday, 8:05 – 8:55AM  or 10:05 – 10:55AM @ St. Mary Rectory

Students are divided by grade level, one catechist and two assistants per group.  Age appropriate activities, prayer and music are integrated into the lessons.

B.      FAMILY MODEL:

Wednesday, 5:30 – 7:00PM, St. Mary Hall

Parents teach their child at home and participate in monthly family community events that provide fellowship and faith enrichment opportunities.

C.   FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION:

Grades 2 and 3
Children can enroll in one of two models for Sacramental Preparation: Family Model (parents and children complete the provided materials at home) or Classroom Model (Sunday mornings) Children and their parents, attend two retreats, on Saturdays as scheduled, in preparation for each sacrament.

Grades 4-6
Children who have received at least one year of formal religious education can prepare to receive Reconciliation and Eucharist.  We offer preparation classes in November for Reconciliation and in March for First Eucharist.
